The Science of Cells

Today in science class I learned about cells. The cell is the basic structural, functional and biological unit of all known living organisms. There are two types of cells. There are eukaryotes, which contain a nucleus and prokaryotes, which does not have a nucleus. If you are wondering what a prokaryote looks like look at this picture.

Prokaryotic cells were the first form of life on earth. Can you believe it?! I thought the caveman was the first form of life on earth.
Plants, animals, fungi, algae, and many more organisms are eukaryotic.
Prokaryotic= Single-celled organisms
Eukaryotic= Single-celled or apart of multicelluar organisms

Lastly, cells came upon Earth at least 3.5 billion years ago. I think that's crazy, don't you think that too. The Earth came to life billions of years ago with cells walking upon earth with life. This is what I learned today in Science class. I hope you learned something cool today.
